Joseph P. Hurley, of Wilmington DE, is an active market participant and highly engaged in the world of REO (Real Estate Owned) in New Castle County since 2006. Primarily serving the City of Wilmington, Joseph has been at the fore front of the REO industry employed by Alliance Realty. in the disposition of 100’s of institutionally owned assets in the area since his inception as a member of the company in mid 2006. Joseph is highly active with many Community Development Company non-profits in the use of State and Federal funds to acquire, rehabilitate foreclosed homes, then remarket to owner occupants to strengthen communities. Joseph continues to work with New Castle County government in the implementation of their NSP (Neighborhood Stabilization Program) and has successfully cooperated in the acquisition of 18 out of 33 homes purchased through this program. Joseph has closed in excess of 1000 transactions since 2006, approximately 70% of his total production is bank owned. Joseph employs the philosophy of “One-to-many relationships”, and creates many successful clients, one at a time. Joseph buys what he sells and currently holds a portfolio of quality investment properties throughout Wilmington. Currently, Joseph is a member of the New Castle County board of Realtors serving on the Board of Directors Finance and Budget committee and the Professional Standards committee. A graduate of Drexel University in 2005 earning a Bachelors of Science in Corporate Communications, Joseph attended St. Edmond’s Academy and graduated from Alexis I. du PONT High School in 2000.
